Brenda Walker Prudhom graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a degree in Exceptional Education and a certificate of completion in the Interpreter Training Program. She has had an array of experience over the past 25 years including, supervising/coordinating interpreting services, staff interpreter at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf, director of a mentoring program through Interpreting Solutions, Inc., consultant with the office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH)- Wisconsin Mentoring Program and most currently, owner of Prudhom Interpreting and Consulting which focuses on community-based interpreting services, individual mentoring services and training facilitator.
Brenda has been an active member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf at all levels. Currently, Brenda serves the membership as the president. Formerly, she was the treasurer and also served as the Member/ Chairperson for the Professional Development Committee for eight years. At the regional level, she was the Finance Chair for the Region III Conference, held in Milwaukee, WI. At the state level, she has served the Wisconsin Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (WisRID) as president, vice president, treasurer and the chair of the conference planning committee, bylaws committee and professional development committee.
Brenda resides in Florida, with her husband and daughter, Chris and Haley.
