RID Website Update:   RID HQ is really excited about the work we are doing on the new RID website. Your call and feedback for a more visual pleasing and interactive site is the goal we are working toward. While we had great hopes that it would be ready to launch today, we realize that our timeline was too ambitious. In an effort to avoid the launch and re-launch issues that we experienced earlier this year with the new RID member portal, we are delaying the launch until we are closer to pristine perfection that aims to impress you with a more user-friendly, functional, informative, visual-pleasing, and accessible site. The current website will continue to operate as normal in the interim until the new site is deployed. More to come on the new timeline.

RID submitted comments regarding the iTRS National Outreach Program urging the Commission to involve interpreters from the onset of any discussions that will impact the job functions of VRS interpreters. RID strongly believes that until interpreting is recognized as a core service of VRS and interpreter perspectives are included in the decision-making process, the Commission will continue to struggle to meet its ADA to provide a functionally equivalent video relay service.
