Become an LTA
The role of the Local Test Administrator (LTA) is crucial to the success and vitality of the RID National Testing System. We are seeking individuals highly dedicated to the interpreting profession with the capability to share their time for the growth of the profession.
Consider becoming an LTA if you are willing to:
- Commit time to administering the exams
- Adhere to the guidelines for RID agents
- Follow security and confidentiality measures
Requirements:
- Prospective LTAs should already be certified and/or have no future plans to take interpreter certification exams.
To apply to become an LTA:
- Request an application packet from the National Testing System
- Submit the completed forms along with the following:
- A letter identifying your reasons for wanting to become an LTA
- A letter of recommendation from the site coordinator
- A current résumé
LTA applications that include all the requested information will be submitted to the NAD-RID Certification Council, which is responsible for approving LTAs, at the next scheduled meeting. Please contact the director of certification for more information or an application.
