Roommate Match Program

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) is offering a Roommate Match Program for the upcoming 2009 RID Biennial Conference, to be held in Philadelphia, PA, August 1-6, 2009.

Looking for someone to share the costs of a hotel room in Philly? Follow the instructions below and we will e-mail you a list of other applicants who are interested in finding a roommate that match your criteria. Once RID sends you the list of candidates, our job is done. You are responsible for:
o Contacting potential roommates.
o Discussing the arrangement via phone or e-mail.
o Agreeing on how to split the room bill, whose name will be the primary name on the reservation, and who will make the room reservation.
o All hotel arrangements are the responsibilities of the parties involved – not RID.

The level of satisfaction with any roommate you select is a decision for you and your potential roommate. If you are not comfortable with someone for any reason, please politely tell them you have decided to go in a different direction.

o This is a complimentary service provided to our conference attendees by RID. RID is not responsible in any manner in regards to the outcome or satisfaction of your roommate situation.
o You agree to respect the other person’s privacy and personal information.
o RID’s role is limited to the maintenance and distribution of the list of registrants who have signed up for the program.
o RID will not make recommendations for certain persons.
o By participating in this program, you agree that RID disclaims any liability for any damage, loss of property, or injury that may arise from participating in this roommate match program.
