Clay is from Arlington, Texas. He has master’s degrees from George Washington University (political science) and the University of Maryland (management). He worked for several members of Congress and was a political staff appointee on the Base Closure and Realignment Commission prior to coming to RID.

Matthew is a native of West Palm Beach, FL. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and a Master of Science in Administration from Gallaudet University. Matthew is an active member in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and has more than ten years of accounting and finance experience. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering with the Special Olympics.

Elijah is a native of Senegal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Strayer University and an Associate in Economics. He worked for BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting and came to RID with several years of conference services and office management experience. In his spare time, Elijah enjoys working out, reading and playing classical guitar.

Jennifer hails from West Salem, Ohio, located in the heart of Amish country. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Gallaudet University. Jennifer is also a commission member of the Alexandria Commission on Persons with Disabilities. In her spare time, she enjoys reminding everyone how much of a nerd she is by reading Foreign Policy and The Economist. She is also a self-declared gourmand that enjoys sampling new foods and restaurants.

Robyn recently relocated to the D.C. Metro area by way of New York with a background in the financial industry. Most recently, Robyn worked for the Citibank World Head Quarters as a bank officer. When away from work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Melissa was raised in Fairfax, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cultural Anthropology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Since she began working at RID in May 1997, she has held every position in the Member Services Department. Melissa is a new mom and in her (sparse) free time, she enjoys reading fiction, especially classic Russian and British authors.

Ryan was born in New York City and moved to Virginia when she was 13. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Before coming to work at RID, she worked at the University of Mary Washington in a community based program for minority students. In her spare time, Ryan enjoys going out with friends and spending time with her family.

Nathan has lived in Virginia for the past twelve years. He is currently a student at George Mason University pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. In his free time, he enjoys cooking for family and firends while attending classes or lectures on different types of cuisine.

Michele is a native of Washington, DC. She attended Eastern College in St. Davids, PA. She is pursuing a Communication Arts Degree and a minor in International Business Development. Before coming to RID she worked for the Dept of Justice/Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering. She likes independent films and foreign cuisine.

Tina hails from Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. Tina’s previous experience includes working for Congressman Mike Doyle in his district office in Pittsburgh and on Capitol Hill. She enjoys family time and playing with her son, Aiden, and her daughter, Samantha.

Theda hails from Orlando, FL. She attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Graphic Design. Before coming on board at RID, she worked at New Missions, a non-profit Christian organization. Theda does freelance graphic design and enjoys a good sale.

Lakeisha is originally from South Carolina and has lived in Virginia for the past 10 years. She has a beautiful seven year old daughter named Jordyn and is currently enrolled in Strayer University seeking a bachelor's degree in Business Management. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending quality time with her daughter and family.

Bernice was born and raised in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and moved to the east coast five years ago from Los Angeles, CA, where she lived for 18 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is currently enrolled in sign language classes at Northern Virginia Community College and is involved in the First Baptist Church of Alexandria Deaf Ministry. Bernice has recently made it to her five year mark as a breast cancer survivor and enjoys reading, running with her dog, Yip, and Sudoku puzzles.
